While there is a pre-filter built-in, it only filters out 95% of contaminants.  We'd highly recommend prefiltering your water with either a reverse osmosis system, or another under sink system.  This will give you the cleanest most health optimizing water on the planet!

There are no “hidden fees”, but you will need to replace the filters for your Kangen and any pre-filter you’re using based on the company's schedule.

Yes, they have a model that fits under the sink.  It is the same price as the K8 and still requires a pre-filter.  The main difference is that the under-sink model has one less titanium plate, which means a slightly lower ORP rating.
